What you will do
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) in virtual and bare-metal environments
- Vulnerability scan and patching of servers.
- Configure and manage KVM-based virtualization using tools like libvirt, virsh, virt-manager, or oVirt
- Deploy, upgrade, and support Kubernetes clusters (on-premise or cloud-managed)
- Manage virtual networking, storage, and performance tuning for VMs and containers
- Automate infrastructure tasks using Ansible, Shell scripting, or Python
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment
- Monitor system health, performance, and security using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Nagios
- Manage user access, RBAC, and system hardening for Linux and Kubernetes
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues at the OS, virtualization, and container layers
- Document system configurations, SOPs, and change management processes.
The skills you bring
- 3+ years of Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu)
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with KVM/QEMU virtualization
- 1–2+ years of managing Kubernetes clusters (Kubeadm, Minikube, or managed solutions like EKS, AKS)
- Experience with libvirt, bridge networking, and VM lifecycle management
- Good understanding of container runtimes (Docker, containerd, CRI-O)
- Strong knowledge of Linux storage, LVM, filesystems, and tuning
- Experience with network troubleshooting and tools (iptables, firewalld, tcpdump, etc.)
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation
- Experience with OpenShift, KubeVirt, or OpenStack
- RHCSA/RHCE or equivalent Linux certification
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) is a plus
- Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
- Exposure to hybrid cloud or on-premise cloud-native infrastructure
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
